Marginal Country……that’s what we live in, meaning, in part, rain is marginal…… we live in a 8-9 inch (200-225mm) rainfall country, so we don’t ask for much. You look after the land out here when it dries off, wait for the rain, and the land will respond, green, seeding grasses that dry off, but still full of goodness.
Goodwood Sunset … amongst “mad” cloud 5.53.23pm I make no apologies for not being able to eliminate any of these photos, more than what I have already, and that is not many, of the sunsetting 12 June 2017 at Goodwood (22 photos) 5.54.03pm Monday 12 June When I drove home from the gallery, I thought that […]
Most mornings are glorious. Waking up on the top side of the grass usually is a good thing? Some mornings are just a tad more magic than others. Let me introduce you to Monday 20 March 2017 6.32.29am (sunrise was 6.44am this morning) at Goodwood. Junior and I walked into the “House” Paddock, or maybe […]
Our amazing….one I had never experienced before…..fabulous weather year of 2016 actually started on the 28th December 2015 Many had watched and wished, just like we had, for rains to come and regenerate our lands, trees, animals and humans…..I was amazed and absolutely thrilled at the response this post received….we didn’t get rain but our […]
My whole challenge of my Australian Outback photography is the light, we have massive amounts of it, because of our #bigskycounty #wideopenspace. To capture the colour as I see it, to share with those that look at my photography, is a passion of mine. I have a camera that I can adjust, to the light, […]
Right place right time….when I went to shut the chooks up this evening, just on sunset….there was some amazing cloud shapes in the western sky.
Did I have an enjoyable time taking these photos……hell yeah Infamous windmill…..magic cloud….great combination Using my new found, old love…..25mm wide angle lens……for some enjoyable results add the sun…..for a bit of a different dimension nothing like being able to photograph the front and back of the sails in the same photo…..and not falling over […]
Warning this blog has a large number of photos 😀 7th April was our “tailing out” day of steers/bullocks, and yard work, at Scarsdale, to get ready to truck the steers/bullocks 8th April. We arrived at the yards, about 40km north of Goodwood at 7am, to this view. Letting cattle out of the yards, onto feed, helps […]
Breathtaking isn’t it? This photo was taken at 6.14am this morning. 27minutes before sunrise. Those that have followed me for a while, know that for many years now I’ve wanted my photos to tell the story. To hopefully make you feel as if you are standing beside me and experiencing the view for yourself. This morning […]
This morning it was a case of…… should I take the moon saying “see you later” (I missed it yesterday morning when it seemed to look awesome) or the sun saying “hello” So I did a bit of artistic stuff with the moon while I waited for the sun to come up 6.14.40am Just enjoyed […]
