Come for a walk through New Farm Park with me
I love finding time to enjoy the city in more ways than one.
Today after shopping I got to visit New Farm Park.
What a gem in the middle of the hustle and bustle.
I LOVE trees, especially trees with a bit of character.
Jacaranda through the dense canopy of green foliage.
There was an Hibiscus hedge
If only this tree could talk, like the Great Granddad of the park, imagine the history that has been made during its life time.
Modern day living on the Brisbane River, a view that would have changed over time from this trees position.
The Power House Museum, a mix of old and new….
….that serves a wonderful purpose for a treasure of an old building.
A Jacaranda in New Farm Park from the inside of the Power House Museum
New Farm park…..is such an inviting place.
A beautiful place to catch up in the middle of Brisbane.
This magic flower loading many trees not only in New Farm Park but all around Brisbane.
A tranquil spot with a skyscraper back drop.
A flower near the end of its life’s circle.
They look magic just because they are.
Did you see the rotunda?? IT’s where we got married!! Such a beautiful park. Gorgeous pics Ann…
I took a photo of the rotunda Amanda, what a gorgeous place to get married, it is a beautiful park. Thanks
Beautiful Ann thanks for the tour I like the old Morton Bay, it would have to be 100+?
I would say so Greg, re the age of that tree, I just adore old trees, or just trees with character. Glad you enjoyed the tour, my pleasure.
I was just in Brisbane on the weekend and going to my destination and seeing all the Jacarandas was beautiful. I’m not sure I’m been to that park before despite all the visits I have done down there. Actually I haven’t seen much of Brissie recently as usually I am just passing through the airport.
So sorry it took me so long to reply Anne,
Yes I do love the city for what it provides and I especially love taking the City Cats.
I was able to do this by night this time and enjoyed it very much. Plus bonus it rained, it was glorious.
Hope you get the time to explore a little more when in Brisbane next.
